A Note from our President

Being in North Nashville is always invigorating. No matter what you have experienced before arriving, you are welcomed with warmth that reminds you that nothing compares to North Nashville. The food, music, laughter, collaboration, innovation, advocacy, and poetry create a true heartbeat for the spirit thriving in this community.

During this visit, I attended the Interdenominational Minister’s Fellowship. I had the pleasure of meeting several pastors and ministers I had not met before. I enjoyed the elaborate breakfast hosted by the House of God Church in Nashville, TN. I took time to introduce myself and build connections for the future. There was also a great deal of ideation and visioning for the present.

I also had the chance to connect with Councilman Brandon Taylor, Metro Council District 21. He offers an open forum for questions and suggestions. It was an opportunity to observe and engage. Several updates affecting the community were discussed.

While in Nashville, I attended the groundbreaking for the design and construction of the new Black-owned Citizens Bank. This project advances our vision and creates more opportunities.

The creation of the Elevate North Nashville Community Development Corporation provides a 'runway' for this community to soar.

 It All Begins Here.
